April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize that we each can play a part in promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families in communities. The website provides the 2012 Resource Guide—Preventing Child Maltreatment and Promoting Well Being: A Network for Action. Resource guide includes tip sheets for parents and caregivers, ways to get involved and six protective factors. This is a great way to involve your CTSO and students!

What Should You Know?
It’s time to change how we view a child’s growth.
Do you know all the ways you should measure your child’s growth? We naturally think of height and weight, but from birth to 5 years, your child should reach milestones in how he plays, learns, speaks and acts. Track your child’s development and act early if you have a concern. Learn more about milestones. For additional information, visit:
