Show Me The Moolah!! Economic Summit
Attend this Economic Summit to beef up your teaching. This will be an amazing day packed full of free resources and training to implement as soon as you return to school in the fall. Get prepared to engage your students and show them how good business and financial skills make Moolah!! Participants will receive training on resources from the Texas Council on Economic Education and REAP – The Farming Game. Participants will also be treated to Lunch and a tour of the Dallas Federal Reserve by Princeton Williams- Economic Education Program Coordinator, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

The first 50 teachers to register will receive a copy of the Virtual Economics CD, a $100 value!! Scholarships to cover the registration fee are available to the first 25 teachers who request assistance.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY FOR TEACHERS – Reminder

Attention Teachers Planning on Attending the 2014 FCSTAT Professional Conference:
The SIRDC team is providing you with an opportunity to network and share best practices with your FCSTAT colleagues! We will be sponsoring a SIRDC Lesson Showcase Session at the 2014 FCSTAT Professional Conference. If you are interested in showcasing one or more SIRDC lessons/teaching strategies that you have used in your classroom, please contact Sandra Delgado at delgadosa@sfasu.edu. We have space for approximately 25 – 30 lesson/strategy presenters. We are in need of at least one presenter for each Education and Training, Hospitality and Tourism, and Human Services cluster course®. Requests to participate as a lesson/strategy presenter in this session will be accepted until May 20, 2014 by contacting Ms. Delgado at delgadosa@sfasu.edu. Selected individuals will be contacted by June 1, 2014 with more details.
